Frequently asked questions

How is this different from BlueStacks or Genymotion?

BlueStacks runs locally on your Windows PC — heavy, slow, requires install. Genymotion Cloud is enterprise-only with complex pricing. Our cloud phones are designed for Roblox players: simple monthly billing, Roblox preinstalled, browser-native, mobile-friendly UI.

What kind of latency should I expect?

Under 80ms for most users in the US/EU. Streaming is via WebRTC and Cloudflare's global edge network. You'll notice it for fast reactions like rhythm games, but for Roblox AFK farming and most casual play it's not perceptible.

Can I install non-Roblox apps?

Yes. Aurora Store is preinstalled — search and install anything from the Play Store catalog (no Google account needed). For paid apps you'll want to sign into a real Google account via Aurora's settings.

What Android version is it?

Android 13 currently (64-bit), with x86_64 + ARM64 architecture support. We test new versions before promoting — when Android 14 stabilizes for redroid, you'll be able to opt in.

Is it secure? Can other customers see my phone?

Each phone is an isolated Docker container with its own filesystem. Other customers literally cannot reach your phone (different networks, different mount points). The browser stream is HMAC-signed per rental, expires every hour, bound to your specific phone ID.

What if redroid is too slow for what I want?

Roblox runs at 30-60 FPS for most users. Heavy 3D games like Genshin work but at lower settings. For light-to-medium Android apps (Roblox, social, banking, scripting) it's indistinguishable from a real phone. Refunds available if it doesn't fit your use case.
